The Law vs Statutes

Common Law for the living; statutes for corporate franchises.

Living law of the land versus enacted statutes
Living law of the land versus enacted statutes

The Law is Common Law—the foundation of justice for living people. Laws serve all people equally, defend unalienable rights, and remedy harm between living men and women. They arise from nature, custom, and the conscience of a community of peers.

Statutes are legislation—rules written by representatives or corporate legislatures to administer artificial legal persons, franchises, and commercial policy. Statutes can be useful house rules for creatures of the State. They are not, by themselves, the law of your living substance.

Legislation for franchises versus living law for people

When officials apply statutes to you as if you were only a person NAME, they collapse the distinction. Your response is to restore it: declare living capacity, demand an injured party, and challenge jurisdiction. Related: Jurisdiction Is the Key, The Courts.
